Academic Policy Committee

The Academic Policy Committee is responsible for making recommendations to
the council regarding development and review of academic policies of the
University Graduate School.

Awards Committee

The Awards Committee reviews applications for the annual award competitions administered by the University Graduate School and for external award competitions.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee

The Diversity Issues Committee is responsible for reviewing the current state of diversity within the graduate programs at IU. The Diversity Issues Committee develops goals for inclusion and diversity in the University Graduate School and advises the Dean and Associate Deans on issues related to diversity and inclusion.

Graduate Initiatives Committee

The Graduate Initiatives Committee's duties include: reviewing the current activities of the University Graduate School and Graduate Faculty Council and proposing new initiatives; making recommendations regarding the introduction of new graduate degrees or certificates developed on any campus at IU; and making recommendations to the council to amend the Constitution and Bylaws.
